Oilman, developer and philanthropist, N.H. Martin built this spacious Prairie Style home in 1919. After the discovery of oil on the family ranch in nearby Jolly, Texas, Martin and partner W.B. Hamilton, went on to build the Country Club Estates and donate the land on which Hardin Junior College (now Midwestern State University) was built.

The home features 10-foot ceilings, narrow-board oak floors, a hand-carved mantelpiece, gumwood paneling, detailed moldings and four distinctively appointed bedrooms. Recipient of Heritage Society Preservation Award.

Guest may choose from The Master Bedroom (Queen bed), the Girl's Room (full size bed), (these rooms share a bath and may be reserved as a suite), The Nanny's Room (queen bed), or The Boy's Room (King Bed). A second bath is accessed on the common hallway. The sitting room has Cable TV and balcony access. All accommodations include a breakfast. Double room with private bath is $85 per night with continental breakfast and coffee, $95 with full breakfast. Two room suite with shared bathroom $150-$175. Entire upstairs (max. of eight guests) $350. (includes snacks)

The honeymoon suite is comprised of the master bedroom and private bathroom. A fruit & cheese snack tray with chocolates, nuts and bottled beverages are setup in your room when you check in and a full breakfast served to your room the next morning. $150 per night. The honeymoon suite with exclusive use of the sitting room and balcony, champagne or sparking wine and fresh flowers is $200.
